IT’S LITTER(ALLY) EVERYWHERE

This project explores the boundaries and potential of urban litter
collected from the streets of Amsterdam. Through this ongoing research,
I investigate both the environmental and social implications of the city’s litter problem, while simultaneously challenging the way we perceive waste.

Rather than viewing litter solely as a symptom of pollution,
I approach it as a raw material with untapped potential.
The goal is to transform discarded items into a new, usable material that can be repurposed for fabric development.
By doing so, this project bridges the gap between sustainability, innovation, and design—turning waste into a conversation starter and a source of creative opportunity.

This mockumentary serves as a playful yet thought-provoking explainer on the urban litter problem. Rather than portraying waste purely as a societal issue, the film reframes it as a potential resource.

By blending satire with speculative design, the mockumentary invites viewers to reconsider their perception of street litter—not as pollution, but as raw material for innovation. It challenges conventional narratives and opens up a dialogue about sustainability, reuse, and the hidden value in what we throw away.
